WFDD, the NPR News and Triad Arts station broadcasting from Wake Forest University, is the only public radio station of its kind located in the Piedmont. It broadcasts news, information, and entertainment programming from NPR and other national distributors, as well as locally-produced offerings like Triad Arts and Real People, Real Stories. WFDD broadcasts to a 32-county area covering the Piedmont, High Country, and Southside Virginia.
